We currently have an exciting opportunity for a ECG Technician to join our Cardiology Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to): 

• Providing optimum quality non-invasive diagnostic cardiac testing that will include Cardiac Stress Testing, ECG, Holter Set up and Scanning, Ambulatory Blood Pressure set up and reporting and Simple Spirometry
• Related paper work and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have certification/registration or be in the process of certification with the Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists/Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
• High school graduation or equivalent required
• Ability to operate/maintain equipment used for cardiac diagnostic testing
• BCLS provider certification required.
• Practical experience with 12 lead electrocardiography
• Certified to perform exercise testing, holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and oxygen saturation is an asset.
• Must have demonstrated superior customer service and teamwork skills.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to listen and take direction effectively.
• Must be able to prioritize a busy daily workload.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
• Effective computer, MUSE and Meditech knowledge is preferred.
• The ability to perform basic troubleshooting skills and preventative maintenance
• Ensure infection control procedures are adhered to and revised/reviewed annually
• Must be able to maintain the patient record including filing and retrieval.
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
