The Humber River Health Oncology program provides comprehensive cancer care services in our outpatient clinic made of 28 treatment spaces and care for over 15,500 patients annually, including lab, systemic therapy, medical oncology, and supportive care visits. Our treatment and services include:
We are currently seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to partner with another Oncology NP and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, oncologists, palliative/supportive care physician and program leaders to provide direct and comprehensive care and services to our patients.
You will use advanced practice skills to provide assessment, coordination and provision of services to patients and families including crises intervention and short-term management while integrating best practice guidelines and current evidence-based research into clinical practice for in-patient and ambulatory clinic for oncology and oncology palliative population.
You will have the opportunity to participate and lead quality improvement initiatives and make recommendations for change in consultation with the Program Director, Manager and Physician Leader.
Your leadership skills will be utilized to provide training, coaching and education related to evidence-based Oncology practice and knowledge among team members.
