At Humber River Hospital, Analytics & Business Insight plays a pivotal role in understanding the business and analytical needs of the hospital, identifying, tracking, analyzing and making recommendations for
corrective action to financial/statistical utilization issues; while ensuring the hospital is meeting all external and internal reporting requirements. As we continue to grow our operations, we are seeking a Full-Time
Senior Financial Business Analyst to join our team.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Case Costing and Utilization (Financial Planning & Analysis)
Schedule Requirements: Must be available to work Monday to Friday
Location: Wilson Site / Flexible Work Location available
Employee Group: Non-Union

Position Responsibilities:
  
• Support core financial processes (annual budget, forecasts, monthly reporting, variance analysis) to build a solid and compelling financial plan that meets the expectations of Senior Leadership, Program Leadership and Clinical Leadership
• Support clinical and non-clinical stakeholders with analyzing and evaluating department level Financial and Statistical performance on a monthly basis
• Develop Business Cases in collaboration with various program stakeholders (i.e. collecting, analyzing and interpreting key metrics to support business cases and program initiatives)
• Analyze financial and clinical information to help drive and facilitate optimal decision making including Health Human Resource planning
• Develop and analyze annual planning for  Ministry submissions (e.g. mental health Community Annual Planning Submission (CAPS), Hospital Accountability Planning Submission (HAPS)) for Board of Directors approval)
• Drive initiatives related to  Finance, business intelligence, and other analytic tools to deliver Key Performance Indicators
• Other duties as assigned including participating on special committees, assisting with onboarding and training of other departmental staff and leaders to meet the Financial and Operational goals of the organization

 


Qualifications:
 
• University degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration, or Health Administration / Informatics is required
• CPA / Masters designation preferred
• Minimum 5 years related experience in a healthcare environment
• Self-starter with ability to motivate and focus on multiple tasks and projects
• Superior ability to organize, analyze and evaluate data, both quantitatively and qualitatively
• Expert knowledge in MS Excel, strong skillset in MS Office Suite and modern BI Tools
• Strong, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attendance and discipline free record a requirement
