We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Analyst to join our Innovation Excellence Team. The Project Analyst will play a supportive role in planning, implementing and evaluating projects within the portfolio and across Humber River Hospital. This will include gathering, synthesizing, and translating requirements, conducting analysis, and facilitating consensus. The individual will be working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and thrives in high-performing and fast-paced environments.

 

Reporting Relationship:Director, Innovation Excellence

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document functional requirements from client stakeholders; facilitate process reviews; conduct gap analysis
  • Develop and design solutions and research, and present options to clients
  • Coordinate and support process redesign activities, including workflow mapping, options analysis, and gap analysis
  • Gather, analyze and interpret data and information to support problem-solving and decision-making
  • Assist Project Managers in all phases of project management.  This includes:
    • Development and monitoring of project plans
    • Development of status reports and business cases
    • Supporting risk and issue mitigation activities, including maintenance of Risk, Issue, Action Item and Decision (RAID) Logs
    • Facilitating project team meetings including development of agenda, leading meetings and ensuring follow up of action items identified
    • Leading work streams within a project (for example, testing, pre-go-live activities, change management activities and/or project evaluations)
    • Where required, assist in the execution of project deliverables
  • Support departmental initiatives – this may include facilitating the development and documentation of processes and templates, developing briefing notes/reports and presentations, and carrying out other relevant tasks
  • Other duties, as required

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in IT, Healthcare, Business Analysis or Project Management required
  • At least 2 years experience in Business/Project Analyst and/or 3-4 years as a Project Coordinator
  • Undergraduate degree in IT, Healthcare or Business, preferred
  • Business Analysis certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, listening and facilitating)
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and/or deliverables concurrently
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) required
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework preferred
  • Familiarity with use of Project Management Software (i.e. ClickUp, SmartSheet, MS Project, etc.) preferred
  • Project management body of knowledge (PMBOK), Lean planning methodology, Technology assessment, preferred
