Humber River Health is a provider of Infant hearing diagnostic Auditory Brainstem Response assessments and rehabilitation services under the Early Abilities, Infant Hearing Program of Ontario

 Right now we’re looking for a Permanent Part-Time Audiologist to work in our Maternal & Child Program

Location: Wilson site
Employee Group:  OPSEU 590

Hours of Work:  Days


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate hearing and provide habilitation for individuals from infancy to adulthood. Assessments include the use of Behavioural Observation, Visual Reinforcement, Play and Conventional audiometry.
  • Hearing aid evaluations and verification along with routine hearing aid checks and readjustments for both the paediatric and adult populations.
  • Collaborate with other member of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care approaches and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with other Audiologists as needed.
  • Ensure a very high standard of patient care in accordance with The College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Ability to test a diversity of patients with developmental delays including but not limited to ASD, Global Developmental Delays and Blind Low Vision, preferred.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Audiology or equivalent
  • Registration and a member in good standing, with CASLPO
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with the paediatric population required
  • Sound professional knowledge and judgment in a clinical role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Committed to providing patient family centered, evidence based practice in a fast paced clinical setting
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
