We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our Surgical Day Care team, in the Surgical Program

 

Reporting Relationship:Manager, Surgical Pre-Screening, Pre-op & Surgical Daycare

Hiring Salary Range: $34.641 - $35.145

Hours of work: Must be able to work staggered shifts between the hours of 06:00 and 21:00 hrs from Monday to Friday, including but not limited to days, afternoons and evenings (subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights)

Union: NOWU

Location: Wilson Site

 

Responsibilities:

  • Scrubbing duties
  • Functions as part of the surgical team

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program.
  • Current Registered Practical Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent surgical experience required
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Demonstrated good organizational skills and problem solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with a variety of staff, patients and visitors
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
