We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our Endoscopy team.

 

Employment Status: Temporary Part Time
Duration:
April 2026 - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.
Hours of Work:
Must be available to work all rotating shifts from Monday to Friday including 7:00-3:00, 7:15-3:15, 7:30-3:30, 8:00-4:00 and/or 8:30-4:30

Hourly Rate:
$36.929 - $37.466 

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Registered Practical Nurse duties as set out by the department

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program
  • Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • Demonstrated ability to work at full scope of practice
  • 3-5 years of recent medical-surgical experience required
  • Minimum 1 year Endoscopy Suite experience required and obtained recently
  • Knowledge of Phase I and II Recovery criteria
  • Demonstrated excellent patient assessment skills
  • Demonstrated good organizational skills and problem solving skills required
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with a variety of staff, patients and visitors
  • Demonstrated excellent patient/family teaching skills
  • Basic computer skills and Meditech experience is an asset.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required
