We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Full Time Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement.  June 25

 

Employment Status: Temporary Full Time

Duration: 12 - 18 months (Subject to change per management rights)

Location: Wilson Site

Reporting Relationship: Senior Director of SPD, Biomed & Supply Chain Mgmt

Employee Group: Management, Non union

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8AM-4PM & weekends may be required

 

Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Contract Support
  • Review vendor contracts for completeness and coordinate approvals
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and BPS directives
  • Lead and direct staff in the procurement and mail room services departments
  • Manage procurement and mail room services
  • Provide process guidance and training
  • Analyze and reporting of procurement and contract management
  • Update of policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot basic supply chain issues and escalate as needed

 

Activities

  • Lead and direct day to day operations and the staff of the Procurement and Mail Room Services
  • Manage vendor performance relationships and key performance indicators
  • Provide subject matter guidance to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the Hospital's policies and procedures
  • Analyze product usage for each user department to determine cost savings
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and vendor inquiries
  • Troubleshoot basic supply chain issues and escalate as needed
  • Coordinate with Finance, Receiving, and internal clients to resolve operational issues
  • Maintain department trackers and procurement logs
  • Monitor team tasks and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduates degree in Business/Finance required
  • Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) Certification or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) Designation required
  • Supply Chain Management Association of Ontario (SCMAO) membership in good standing preferred
  • Healthcare Supply Chain Network (HSCN) membership in good standing preferred
  • 5 years of experiences in logistics/procurement required
  • 3 years management and leadership experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) required
  • Knowledge and applied experience of Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive, procurement and contract management required
  • Financial analysis, cost management experience required
  • Warehouse and JIT supplies management experience required
  • Applied experience on healthcare supply requirements required
  • Managing staff in a unionized environment experience required
