Right now we are looking for a VIP Systems Coordinator to work with our Professional Practice Department.

 

Employment Status: Permanent Full-Time

Reporting Relationship: Director, Professional Practice

Location: Humber River Health, Wilson site 

 

Position Responsibilties

  • Responsible for the configuration, support, and ongoing optimization of the Scheduling module and integrated electronic time recording system.. The Scheduling module is highly integrated with other VIP modules including Occupational Health, Human Resources and Payroll as well as the electronic time recording system, Midex.
  • In addition to day-to-day support to staff and leaders, the VIP Systems Coordinator is responsible for providing orientation to all new hires on a monthly basis (e.g. to view their electronic schedules and instruct staff on making scheduling change requests through their mobile applications).
  • There may be additional opportunities for enhancements the Scheduling Specialist may lead, including leading software upgrades (e.g. patches), efficiency in data transactions, automated audits, and enhancing call systems.
  • A subject matter expert for leading implementation of enhancements, new functionality/modules and continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with end-user requirements.
  • The VIP Systems Coordinator will also develop and deliver educational resources (e.g. slides, quick reference guides, workshops, in-services, orientation)

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Post-secondary degree in business administration, computer science, human resources, information technology or relevant area of study required 
  • VTI Certifications: Business Rules Management, VIP Concepts & HR Events, My BI Portal preffered 

  • Minimum 15 years of hospital-based scheduling experience including unionized schedule generation
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading digital HRIS applications development and implementation
  • Solid understanding of HR processes such as scheduling, payroll, benefits, performance management, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong knowledge of collective agreements and ESA
  • Experience with business intelligence tools or reporting software (e.g., Cognos, Power BI, Crystal Reports, SQL, C+)
  • Ability to ensure data accuracy and system reliability by carefully reviewing inputs, reports, and processes.
  • Ability to analyze issues logically and develop practical, timely solutions for system errors, user challenges, or data discrepancies.
