We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Laboratory Services to join our Laboratory Services team.

 

Employment Status: Permanent Full Time

Hours of Work: Day shifts from Monday to Friday (some evening and weekend hours may be required based on operational needs) - subject to change as per Management Rights

Location:  Humber River Health, Wilson Site

Employee Group: Management

Reporting Relationship: Program Director, Laboratory Services

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides effective, efficient and quality patient support services through effective management of staff, facilities and financial resources .
  • Plans, develops and implements service delivery systems in collaboration with health systems management and community referral sources that enhance customer-focus, professional and accountability using data and information analysis of quality, utilization and outcome indicators.
  • Assits with developing and implementing innovative and entrepreneurial action plans that enhance service delivery, revenues and cost-effectiveness while actively participating in both internal and external committees.

 

Requirements:

  • Registered membership in good standing with the the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) and the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).  
  • An Undergraduate Degree in a health related discipline required. Master's in Health Science, or related field preferred. Candidates who are actively pursuing their Master's will be considered
  • A minimum of 3 years management and leadership experience involving multidisciplinary teams.
  • 5 years of recent Core Lab experience and technical/clinical background in the Laboratory with a track record of innovative and challenging achievements is also required
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
