Graphic Designer
Hybrid | Humber River Health Foundation | Toronto, ON
Reports to: Director, Marketing and Communications

About the Role

We are looking for a Graphic Designer who loves great design, cares about details, and gets excited about work that has purpose behind it. If you’re someone who enjoys turning ideas into visuals, building out assets that look as good as they feel, and creating a consistent, polished brand experience, you will fit right in.

Your work will support meaningful change in healthcare and help inspire donors, partners, and our community. Expect creativity, collaboration, variety, and projects that truly matter.

A portfolio is required with your application.

What You Will Do

Bring Ideas to Life

  • Create beautiful and practical designs across social media, digital campaigns, print materials, donor packages, presentation decks, and event branding.
  • Take projects from concept to completion with care, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Help shape and evolve brand visuals to keep things fresh, recognizable, and cohesive.

Design for Digital

  • Build graphics for social content, web updates, digital fundraising pages, and email marketing.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to make sure visuals and messaging work together and speak with one voice.
  • Support online campaigns with visuals that are clear, engaging, and on brand.

Design for Print

  • Prepare print-ready files and liaise with printers and vendors to ensure materials look polished and professional.
  • Create signage and physical assets for donor recognition, events, and on-site brand presence.

Support Events and Campaigns

  • Develop visual themes and branding for signature events, seasonal campaigns, and donor moments.
  • Create assets like invitations, signage, place cards, digital screens, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with photo selection and simple image editing for storytelling use.

Stay Organized and Curious

  • Manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Maintain well-organized files, templates, and asset libraries.
  • Bring new ideas, trends, and creative inspiration to the table.

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of professional graphic design experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit, agency, or similar environments.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Canva.
  • Experience designing for both digital and print and confidence preparing production-ready files.
  • A good eye for layout, typography, accessibility, and visual hierarchy.
  • The ability to manage your time independently, balance multiple projects at once, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in nonprofit or healthcare environments is a bonus.
  • Photography, animation, illustration, or basic video skills are a plus and very welcome.

Who You Are

  • Someone who loves turning ideas into visuals that tell a story.
  • A creative thinker who is just as comfortable collaborating as you are working independently.
  • Someone who cares about purpose-driven work and understands the impact design can have.
