We currently have an exciting opportunity for a an EEG Technician to join our Neuro-Diagnostics Team.

 

Employment Status: Permanent Full-time 
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday. Weekend availability an asset.

Manager, Medical Clinics

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform optimum quality, non-invasive electroencephalographs for the pediatric and adult patient populations.
  • Perform EEGs for inpatients and outpatients in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
  •  Other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a 2 year C.B.R.E.T. or A.B.R.E.T. certified Hospital based Electrophysiology program; or minimum 2 year Clinical Electrophysiology technician experience.
  • Must be registered or be in the process of registering with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists, Inc. (CBRET) or the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years recent inpatient/outpatient EEG experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Xltek medical equipment an asset.
  • Ability to operate equipment used for neuro-diagnostic testing.
  • Knowledge and experience with Meditech would be an asset.
  • Evidence of sound organizational, and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
