We are seeking a new team member with a keen interest in Human Resources administration to join our team as a Program Service Assistant in the Human Resources department. This exciting opportunity is perfect for those with strong administrative skills and enjoys the challenge that a fast pace demanding environment brings. Within the Human Resources department, this role will be supporting the Director of Talent, Total Rewards & People Analytics, Corporate Director of Human Resources, Director of Employee & Labour Relations and the Director of Organizational Development and Strategy.

 

Employment Status: Full Time

Location: Humber River Hospital – Wilson site 

Salary Range: $65,442.00 - $81,855.15

Hours of work: Days, occasional evenings/weekends, flexibility required

Employee Group:  Non-Union

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizes action items requiring attention through scheduled briefings and preparation of reports of priority projects
  • Identifies, coordinate, analyze and communicate key department matters and critical issues in a timely manner and in accordance with hospital established processes
  • Provides administrative support to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner including drafting policies and memorandums
  • Works with key stakeholders to support the agenda development and is responsible for minute-taking of applicable committee and meetings
  • Establishes meaningful relationships with peers, colleagues, and multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Disseminates information identified as critical for the advancement of policy formation, process development and enhancement of public communications within the Human Resources department, across portfolios, and between Human Resources and external partners (i.e. OHA)
  • Ensures timely feedback on behalf of the department leaders whenever necessary
  • Completing admin payroll and schedules
  • Calendar management for department leaders

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary education in Business Administration, or related field
  • 3 years of recent experience providing senior administrative support required in healthcare and/or unionized setting
  • Knowledge of hospital processes, as well as legislation, policies, and procedures that affect hospitals
