HRH also operates Reactivation Care Centres at the Finch and Church Campuses through a unique multi-hospital partnership focused on specialized care for patients designated as Alternative Level of Care.

Equity and inclusivity are central to HRH’s mission and are shared priorities with the North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team (NWT OHT). HRHs 202326 Strategic Plan focuses on strengthening its role as a community academic healthcare institution, with key objectives that include:

As an associate member of the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network (“TAHSN”), HRH offers academic opportunities across professions. In partnership with the University of Toronto, HRH established Schulich Family Medicine Teaching Unit, providing residents with opportunities to train with academic and community-based family physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

As Canada’s first fully digital hospital and home to the country’s first digital Command Centre, HRH is committed to innovation, research, and academic excellence. The HRH Research Institute supports digital healthcare innovation, while the Command Centre functions as a central hub for managing patient flow and enhancing care quality. HRH leverages closed-loop automation, robotics, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve patient safety, outcomes, and system efficiency using real-time hospital data.

At the heart of this digital transformation are the people who make it possible. HRH’s culture has been shaped by the dedication and support of its staff, physicians, and volunteers, who share a common belief: that together, we can transform the hospital where we work, the community where we live, and the broader healthcare landscape.
