At Humber River Health, we are currently seeking a Manager, Ambulatory Outpatient Clinics

Must be available to work Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Position Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Seniors Care Medical Ambulatory Clinics, ensuring efficient patient flow, strategically managing wait times, and optimizing clinic utilization. Provides effective, efficient, and safe patient services through the coordinated management of human, financial, and environmental resources. Oversees staff scheduling in alignment with Collective Agreements and payroll processes to ensure appropriate coverage, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Holds fiscal accountability for the operational budget, including monitoring expenditures, forecasting needs, and ensuring responsible management of material and human resources to support sustainable clinic operations.
  • Leads continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and clinic performance. Tracks key performance indicators and manages internal and external reporting requirements to support data-informed decision-making and organizational accountability.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, interprofessional teams, and community partners, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient- and family-centred programs and services across ambulatory care
  • Provides leadership to interprofessional teams by supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, labour relations, and professional development. Fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning aligned with organizational values and Collective Agreements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Regulated Health Care Professional in good standing with respective health professional regulatory body in Ontario
  • University degree in a health-related field, Master's level preparation an asset
  • Master's level preparation in Health or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of five years relevant clinical experience and a minimum of three years leadership experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and information-seeking skills that contribute to effective decision-making and strategic planning and execution of action plans that deliver results and motivate individuals for greater performance excellence
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders with demonstrated success in moving key stakeholders to positive resolution and to facilitate and coach clinical areas on change initiatives
  • Experience managing in a multi-union environment
  • Track record of delivering exceptional clinical practice, efficiency and patient care
  • Track record for creating a quality and safety culture and means for monitoring and communicating results that is meaningful to team members and inspires continuous improvement
  • Self-directed, courageous, and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience managing competing demands in a fast-paced, multi-site, multi-disciplinary health care environment
