Salary Range: $61,883.25 - $77,403.30

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Program Support Services

 


Position Objective:

 

The Central Staff Scheduler is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing coverage across Support Services departments by creating, maintaining, and adjusting staff schedules in accordance with collective agreements, operational needs, and budgeted staffing levels.

 


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain master schedules, relief lines, and daily assignments for all designated departments.
  • Coordinate replacement of staff due to vacation, sick calls, leaves of absence, or training.
  • Communicate promptly with department leaders/designees regarding unfilled shifts or coverage shortages.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries from employees and managers
  • Collaborate with department leaders, HR and Payroll to verify timekeeping accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure scheduling practices comply with: Employment Standards Act (ESA), Collective Agreements, Occupational Health and Safety requirements and Attendance Management policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years of scheduling experience in a unionized, 24/7 operational environment (preferably healthcare or hospitality).
  • Ability to build and establish internal relationships at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Excellent computer literacy including: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
