Join our Oncology team and provide exceptional care to our Cancer patients.    At Humber River Health Our Oncology team provides a full range of support to patients who are living with cancer, at all phases of their cancer experience - consultation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and palliative and supportive care   We have a large Cancer Care Outpatient Clinic for chemotherapy treatments, and actively participate in Oncology clinical trials. Humber River Health was the first community hospital in Ontario to participate in these clinical trials   Right now we are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cancer Clinic.    Our Oncology nurses specialize in treating people with cancer serving as their first line of communication as they help to coordinate and deliver many aspects of a patient’s treatment, including administering medications, fluids and cancer treatments such as chemotherapy.  They are caring individuals who are dedicated to assisting patients as they undergo treatment. Lighting New Ways In Healthcare.   Humber River Health (HRH) is one of Canada’s largest acute care hospitals, fully digital, and serving a diverse catchment area of more than 850,000 people in the northwest Greater Toronto Area. HRH operates 722 acute inpatient beds with 3,400 staff, approximately 700 physicians, and over 1,000 volunteers. HRH currently includes the Wilson site, a 656-bed full service acute care facility that opened in 2015 and the Finch and Church sites, known as the "Reactivation Centres” (RCC). The RCCs represent a unique partnership among multiple hospitals in the GTA with a focus on high quality patient recovery. The Division of Geriatric Medicine has a team of five geriatricians that is well integrated through inpatient and outpatient care as part of the Department of Medicine.   The successful candidate must have a Royal College certification in Geriatric Medicine and be eligible for licensure in Ontario.    The position involves attending on a 32-bed acute geriatric care unit as well as caring for frail seniors post-hip fracture in a shared-care model with orthopedic surgery.  Additional clinical rotations include, inpatient consultation and outpatient geriatric medicine clinic (with both virtual care support and in-person evaluation).  The successful candidate can expect growth in the areas of the complementary bone health clinic and community outreach opportunities.   HRH has an expectation that all physicians will apply for an academic appointment at one of our university affiliates.
