Position Responsibilities:
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) / Public Sector Accounting Standards and Management of Information Systems (MIS) standards to accurately record monthly financial results.
- Review monthly actual vs budget results, follow up on significant variances, and determine appropriate action and refer highly complex issues to Manager/Director for resolution.
- Reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and follow up on issues.
- Report Foundation, Research, and other income sources which may include Ministry of Health & Long Term Care (MOHLTC), Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) and others to project income/funding streams.
- Work with client group to allocate monthly funds to expenditures that meet donor funding priorities and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Maintain funding reconciliation and deferred revenue schedules to track and record funding revenue from MOHLTC/CCO.
- Develop monthly financial reports to be presented by Director/CFO at senior management team (SMT) meetings for leadership decision-making, and at board finance committee.
- Create and maintain custom financial reports within the Meditech General Ledger module.
- Review current report designs to assess compliance with current reporting requirements and update reports to meet requirements.
- Develop and distribute ad-hoc internal reports.
- Review physician on-call schedules including Hospital On-Call Coverage Program (HOCC) hospital stipend to be submitted for payment.
- Reconcile schedule of physician on-call payments to the general ledger to ensure payments comply with MOHLTC Funding Agreement.
- Prepare working paper files for year-end settlement audit; respond to auditors’ queries; review year-end report for accurate completion in preparation for MOHLTC year-end report submission.
- Provide financial information to auditors that meet audit requirements.
- Prepare data for HST audit.
- Prepare remittance and reporting documents (i.e. taxes, funding models/sources, trial balances) to reduce financial penalties arising from past due payments.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Accounting
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum (7) seven years’ related experience preferably in healthcare environment
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Supervises new and current staff to ensure that specialized and high quality technical expertise is available for compounding services, including:
- assigning technical tasks related to sterile and non-sterile compounding to pharmacy technicians
- ensuring staff safety by developing evidence based measures which are followed by staff during each compounding activity
- meeting with staff and other stakeholders to discuss and/or resolve any issues to meet operational needs, and responding to operational issues to facilitate procedural compliance
- reviewing and updating daily work activities and workflow to ensure optimal and timely workload distribution
- supervising pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students in activities involving compounding services and processes to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency and safety according to compounding requirements
- provides constructive feedback to staff and recommends corrective action to Manager as necessary pertaining to any compounding activities
- Works collaboratively with pharmacy director, managers, staff and other health care professionals to facilitate the integration of professional and technical standards and promote safe compounding practices, including:
developing master compounding worksheets/formulas in collaboration with a pharmacist or management for requests for new compounds

- the pharmacy quality assurance dashboard to ensure that the QA program is adhered to for compliance for equipment used in compounding including liaising with Facilities Services and service contractors for preventative maintenance, routine maintenance and other urgent remedial maintenance
- master compounding worksheets and compounding formulations every 3 years and as required
- records for compounding processes, cleaning routines and staff training
- departmental policies and procedures every 3 years and as required
- the labeling software for new products and adherence to the NAPRA labeling requirements for all compounded products
- record retention requirements pertaining to NAPRA and other regulatory standards
- Monitors and maintains technologies for efficient operation in a good state of repair, addressing technical issues in collaboration with IS&T and/or escalate complex issues to Manager for escalation.
- Assists manager with departmental changes, new services for fiscal and human resources planning
- Ensures that available, recognized scientific literature is used to determine stability and establish the beyond use date (BUD) for each sterile and no sterile preparation
- Researches and creates new compounding formulas as required.
- Plan and deliver orientation and training to staff on compounding, including:

- Coach and mentor Pharmacy Staff on compounding related matters.

Qualifications:
- College Pharmacy Technician Diploma required
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required
- 3 years recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
- 3 years supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy and/or experience with compounding standards preferred.
- Experience with Aseptic Technique and safe handling of hazardous drugs

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) or (Formerly) Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) Level 2 required

Our cardiology program provides specialty services for patients with acute and chronic conditions of the cardiovascular system. - R.N. responsibilities for the assessment and treatment of mental health patients in the acute phase of the illness.

Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes to improve the patients’ quality of life.
- Other “drug use control” responsibilities, including review of physician’s orders, creation and maintenance of computerized patient medication profiles, IV admixture, TPN, Pediatric and chemotherapy preparation, drug information, Drug Therapy Monitoring and adverse drug reaction reporting.
- Computer Provider Order Entry (CPOE) and verification of prescriptions in the MEDITECH system, clinical pharmacotherapy monitoring, checking of chemotherapy, and selective medications dispensing.

Qualifications:
- Bachleor of Science in Pharmacy required.Pharm D an asset
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required – Part A.
- Previous hospital experience in unit dose and/or IV additive preferred.
- Hospital residency program or equivalent an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize a consistent and varied workload.
- Ability to direct and teach staff.

Reporting Relationship
Dialysis Technologist will report directly to the Director of Projects & Biomedical Engineering and work closely with the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Maintain hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and all other dialysis related equipment according to current standards
- Follow routine service schedules and perform electrical inspections of dialysis equipment
- Perform emergency repairs and make independent decisions about safety or continuation of use
- Service, exchange or repair hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems in patient homes
- Provide assessment of patient homes for the installation of plumbing and electrical work for the initiation of home dialysis
- Provide computer support and perform routine back-ups, support and information for other dialysis staff
- Assist in research and evaluation of new products, practices and procedures, reporting findings or documentation
- Keep current necessary software revision levels in accordance with manufacturers technical updates
- Help maintain a database of capital equipment, machine repairs, replacement parts, home dialysis visits and inventory
- Provide support to supervisor, manager, nursing staff and physicians
- Provide support for dialysis assistants and nurses
- Help with supplies and inventory when required
- Assist with Transportation and movement of equipment and delivery of dialysis supplies
Requirements:
- A graduate from recognized Electronic/Biomedical Engineering Technologist Program or from a Dialysis Technology Program with at least 3 years of related dialysis experience required.
- Recent computer related experience with Microsoft Office products and general PC Hardware/software configurations
- Must be fluent in English (verbal and written). Must have a demonstrated ability to read and understand basic medical terminology, concepts of sterility and aseptic technique
- Must have a demonstrated ability to assess complex electronic and hydraulic systems and evaluate equipment safety functions and make independent judgments about continuation or removal of use
- Ability and willingness to learn, understand and follow technical guidelines as related to medical equipment company CSA , AAMI.
- Ability to present technical topics for presentation or discussion and relate or provide instruction for dialysis assistant, nurses and home dialysis patients
- Must have strong organizational, problems solving and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently but remain an influential and flexible member of the multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, customer service and patient focused care skills are essential
- Must be physically able to perform duties requiring heavy exertion (lifting, pushing and pulling). Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time

Position Responsibilities:
The Student Nurse Extern role is an unregulated healthcare worker providing direct personal support to HRH patients. Student Nurse Externs will be responsible for the provision of basic care (activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, feeding, etc.) needs for up to 6 patients each. The Student Nurse Extern may work under the supervision of both Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses in accordance to department policies and procedures. - Advocate for use of best practices for clinical staff.

Humber River Hospital (HRH) is one of Canada’s largest acute care hospitals, fully digital, and serving a diverse catchment area of more than 850,000 people in the northwest Greater Toronto Area. - Manage the company's website content, including updates to web pages, landing pages, and donation microsites.
Other Communications Support (25%)
- Brainstorm and contribute to strategy on new and innovative ways to market the Foundation’s mission, vision and values through dynamic content to meet and exceed financial goals
- Contribute to the execution/creation of cross-platform content including printed materials and stewardship reports.
- Collaborate with staff teams (Communications, Donor Relations, Events and Development) on communication ideas and strategies for new and/or recurring events and fundraising programs
- Support the Senior Communications Officer, Digital Lead as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- 2-4 years of focused experience in email marketing, with a track record of successful campaigns (fundraising experience is an asset)
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and testing
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms is a must-have (and experience with MailChimp, which we currently use, is an asset)
- Experience with HTML and CSS for email design is an asset
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Exceptional writing skills, with proven experience telling stories in print and online platforms.
- Working knowledge, or keen willingness to learn online tools, specifically: Raisin, WordPress, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher
- General tech savviness with the willingness to learn new systems with ease
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and integrity with a high attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to seek direction and clarity as needed
- Ability to handle sensitive material with discretion to ensure patient and staff confidentiality is respected and proper processes for gaining consent are always followed
- Generosity of spirit in sharing knowledge with others.
- Photography and graphic design skills would be a bonus!
- Samples of previous work will likely be requested
