This includes all technical aspects of drug distribution, including filling and checking of unit dose medication bins and interim doses, preparation of hazardous and non- hazardous sterile and non-sterile products, Total Parenteral Nutrition products, chemotherapy medications, and stocking medications in patient care areas including narcotics. - Help manage Inventory; purchasing and receiving drugs, checking expiration dates, prepackaging, and delivering medications to the patient care areas and documentation and maintenance of relevant records. - Maintain automation, equipment and other technologies. - Support direct patient care activities (i.e. BPMH) in collaboration with pharmacists and maintain clear, accurate and legible documentation. - Other assigned responsibilities. Qualifications: - Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required. - Successful completion of Community College Pharmacy Technician course or equivalent required. - Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. - 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred. -  Hospital Experience, Pharmacy automation and/or sterile compounding experience preferred. - Effective negotiation and conflict management/resolution skills. - Good communication skills to facilitate effective customer centered care - Ability to work independently or as a member of a team to optimize workflow. - Ability to prioritize a consistent and varied workload.
