If yes, we invite you to read the details below then apply.   Reporting Relationship: Manager of Allied Health Services & Outpatient Rehab Hourly Rate Range: $29.54-$35.60 Location: Central Reactivation Care Centre – 2115 Finch Avenue (subject to change)   Position Responsibilities:    - Developing, designing, implementing and evaluating individualized and group therapeutic recreational/leisure/life skills programs and special events. -  Supporting and encouraging the development of functional and acceptable social skills for patients in the ALC Reactivation Care Centre. - Providing consultation services with Health professionals when requested. - Recording patient assessment, progress and discharge status, in accordance with department and hospital policy. - Interdisciplinary collaboration with other Allied and medical team members to coordinate patient care intervention with recreation therapy activities. - Providing supervision and support to a group volunteers who assist inpatients with  various social activities. - Developing linkages with community agencies so that patients become more aware of recreational supports once discharged - Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays will be required on a rotational basis to support a 7-day model of Recreation Therapy services. Qualifications:     - Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation & Leisure Studies with Therapeutic Recreation focus or University Degree in Human Sciences with a Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) - Ensure professional practices and ethics are followed as governed by professional organization affiliation as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) -  Minimum of 1-2 years of direct experience in working with Inpatients. - Experience working with an ALC patient population is an asset. - Knowledge of the network of Community services and agencies serving patients in the community (Toronto area). - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required in order to facilitate effective communication with patients, team members and volunteers. - Demonstrated ability to prioritize a varied workload. - Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills. - Demonstrated cross cultural awareness and sensitivity. - Ability to respond rapidly and decisively to crisis situations. - Availability to work during the weekday, weekends, and statutory holidays. - Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!   We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General X-Ray Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team.   Responsibilities: - Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols. - Includes general x-ray, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy and minor procedures - Ability to operate all types of equipment including general x-ray rooms (DR & CR), mobile x-ray, c-arm fluoroscopy, general fluoroscopy and multi-purpose rooms. - Prepare and assess patients for radiologic procedures including obtaining consent and confirming exam validity, resourcing radiologists as is necessary and sterile technique practices. - Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS. - Knowledge of and dutifully follows radiation safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and their own occupational dose. Requirements: - Must be registered and in good standing with CMRITO. Qualifications:   - Current experience at HRH as a Rehab Assistant or a graduate from a PTA and OTA Certificate/Diploma program from a recognized institution - Must be able to work well under supervision and maintain the delegation of responsibilities for support personnel as mandated of the Ontario College of Physiotherapists and the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists. - Experience in an acute hospital setting preferred. - Experience in working with an ALC patient population is an asset and preferred. Employee Group: OPSEU 590 Position Responsibilities:   - Providing appropriate assessment and treatment of referred patients with medical, cardiorespiratory, and orthopedic/surgical conditions within the Inpatient Units and Inpatient Rehab Unit. - Prioritizing patient caseload to meet the needs of referred patients. - Recording client assessment, progress and discharge status. - Recording timely workload measurement data. - Works as a member of the health care team. - Flexibility in caseload and program assignment. - Able to manage patient caseload in a busy acute care setting. - Clinical supervision of Rehabilitation Assistants with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy support personnel standards. - Clinical supervision of students, including PT and PTA/OTA students during their clinical placements may be required as needed. - Position will require scheduled weekend work on the Surgical programs, and may require occasional coverage on medicine and at the Finch and Chruch locations in the Reactivation Care Centres as needed. Qualifications:   - Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy. - Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. - Eligibility for C.P.A membership. - Previous physiotherapy experience is an asset.
