Qualifications: - Graduate of a recognized post-secondary education in Healthcare, or related field required - Undergraduate degree in Healthcare or Gerontology related field preferred - Certification in Mental Health, Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation and/or Senior’s care preferred - 2 years of recent experience in working with older adults and/or adults with mental illness required - 2 years of recent experience in running or facilitating community-based programs or social events (may include volunteer-run activities, community workshops, coaching sports teams, etc.) required - 2 years of recent experience in supporting people (e.g. those living with disability, from marginalized communities) in social inclusion and participation preferred - Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) - Strong ability to navigate/seek out and find local community resources and programs though online searching, cold calling, networking, etc. - Strong knowledge of Northwestern Toronto local community, social resources, available group programs - Experience with individual-focused support and goal setting, and coordinating and facilitating group programs - Excellent interpersonal and conversational skills.   Why choose Humber River Health?   At Humber River Health, our staff, physicians, and volunteers are lighting new ways in healthcare.
