If you answered yes to any of the questions above, we invite you to read the details below and apply to this exciting career opportunity and Humber River Hospital.   Reporting Relationship: Manager, Risk and Controls Employee Group: Non-Union   Position Responsibilities: - To improve the health of our community by engineering safe systems, enhancing patient/family experience and outcome and reducing organizational risks and costs - To coordinate, maintain and align corporate policies and procedures, and support risk reduction/quality improvement activities - Assign documents to authors to ensure each policy and process is assigned a document owner - Manage and maintain policies and processes, PPM system upgrades, etc. - Address issues with noncompliance (e.g. breach of confidentiality) - Consulted as a subject matter expert during the development of project proposals and plans requiring Director approval - Request support for technical issues with PPM and LIME in collaboration with IS&T and software vendor - Accessibility Standards for Customer Service regulations - Corporate operational policy and procedure Committee approval process requirements and best practices - Contribute recommendations in the development of departmental strategies and goals for Director approval - Coordinate (ensure up-to-date), align and maintain policies and procedures across the organization - Maintain the Policy and Procedure Manager (PPM) online reference tool and support staff with technical issues with PPM - Maintain printed (hard) copies of all policies and procedures in all locations in case of outage or other technical issues - Review provide editorial guidance for policies and procedures to meet current HRH formatting guidelines and standards - Identify organizational knowledge gaps; develop and deliver education and communication materials to address gaps (e.g. job aids in the use of the PPM system) - Provide administrative support for risk reduction/quality improvement activities Qualifications: - Diploma in Technical Writing, Medical Administration or Document Management, Required - Undergraduate degree in Technical Writing, Medical Administration, preferred - 2 years experience in developing and maintaining policies and processes in a healthcare environment - MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) - Kowledge and applied experience in hospital structure and environment, adult education, project coordination - Interpersonal, prioritization, relationship management, meticulous detail, organization, problem solving, analysis, customer service behaviour skills   Humber River Hospital is an equal opportunity employer and we will accommodate your needs under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
